About the Office

Our nurses and board certified health professionals are trained in the latest techniques of medical and surgical care. They understand the emotional side of surgery and are here to help you in any way they can. Their medical expertise and dedication to excellent patient care will make your surgical experience as safe and pleasant as possible.

Steven P. Schmidt, M.D.

Dr. Schmidt received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern College and his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed his plastic surgery training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. Dr. Schmidt is board certified in general and plastic surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Matthew J. Fox, M.D.

Dr. Fox received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University and his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. His training consisted of general surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Dr. Fox also completed two additional fellowships in surgery of the hand and aesthetic surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is board certified in plastic surgery.

Hospital Affiliations

Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Fox are staff members at Sycamore Medical Center, Kettering Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Children's Medical Center, and some ambulatory surgery facilities. Dr. Schmidt is in charge of the cleft lip and palate clinic at Children's Medical Center.
