Your Pale Lashes Can Be Rejuvenated with Latisse
Have your eyelashes begun to thin out as a result of a lack of growth? There are a variety of reasons why someone may experience thinning eyelashes. It could be the result of genetics, poor health, and as odd as it may sound, it could be the result of the aging process.
In addition to these factors, it can also be the result of constant eye rubbing or allergic reactions to cosmetic products. In fact, mascara has a direct impact on eyelash hair. You see, mascara hardens after application, and causes your eyelashes to become brittle. Using this type of product consistently can degrade the overall health of the lashes.
As you can see, there are a number of factors that may contribute to thinning eyelashes. However, you can say goodbye this dreadful problem, because with Latisse, you can greatly enhance eyelash growth.
What is Latisse?
Latisse is a chemical solution designed to improve eyelash growth. It can help increase eyelash length and thickness for a bold and beautiful look. It is a safe and easy to use treatment that was approved by the FDA in 2008.
Latisse is a slightly altered version of a glaucoma medication called bimatoprost, which is sold under the brand name ‘Lumigan,’ in the form of eye drops. The medication was approved in 2001 by the FDA and after doctors began prescribing it, they started to receive an interesting complaint regarding one of its side effects.
Apparently, patients noticed that their eyelashes became longer and thicker with continued use of the medication. This side-effect is what led to the previous version being modified and turned into what we now refer to as Latisse. Since then, the treatment has become a popular way to improve one’s lashes
How Does Latisse Work?
In order for Latisse to work, you will have to make sure to use it daily. Over the course of time, you will begin to see a noticeable improvement in eyelash growth. When it reaches its peak growth, you won’t have to use it daily, but you will still need to apply it to your lashes once in a while to maintain optimal growth.
Your doctor will provide you with instructions that you will need to follow in order to properly apply the solution to your eyes. You will be provided with the Latisse solution and applicators that will be individually wrapped. You will need to use one applicator per eye when applying it to your eyelids. This will help aid in preventing infection.
Once you’re done with an applicator, throw it away and open another one to use on the other eye. All you have to do is apply it to the base of your upper eyelashes every night. Blinking spreads the solution to the lower lids. It takes a few weeks for the results to be noticeable and continued use is required for the best results.
