Meet Our Team

Dr. Steven P. Schmidt received his medical degree, as well as his general surgery residency training, from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. He practiced general surgery in the Air Force prior to completing his plastic surgery residency training at Wilford Hall, U.S.A.F. Medical Center. While on active duty, he received the Surgeon General's award. He is fully trained and has experience in cosmetic surgery, skin cancer excision and reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and lower extremity reconstruction. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Matthew J. Fox received his Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. His training consisted of a general surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Dr. Fox also completed two additional fellowships in surgery of the hand and aesthetic surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Jason T. Hedrick received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. Dr. Hedrick completed the plastic surgery residency program at the University of Cincinnati, as well as a general surgery residency at Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University. Dr. Hedrick's plastic surgery clinical training experience and expertise include cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, including microvascular breast reconstruction, facial trauma, and skin lesions. He was recognized as the Outstanding Resident of the Year (2008 – 2010) in the Academy of Medicine, Resident Teacher, and Trauma Residency categories. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Medical Association.

Before joining the Plastic Surgery Institute of Dayton, Inc., Dr. Andrew J. Parrish received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Taylor University, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. He completed the Plastic Surgery residency program at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2024. Among other achievements, Dr. Parrish has been honored with the Academic Achievement Award from WSU BSOM Department of Plastic and Orthopedic Surgery multiple times during his residency. Dr. Parrish's clinical interests include caring for patients with both reconstructive and cosmetic concerns with a focus on facial and body aesthetics, skin cancer reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and facial trauma reconstruction. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Medical Association.

Jessica received her Master of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee. With more than 20 years of patient care experience in hospitals, breast cancer risk, and survivorship centers, as well as primary care settings, Jessica joined our practice in 2019. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
