"I am so grateful for the care I received from Dr. Steven P. Schmidt. My melanoma was detected early because Dr. Schmidt performed a biopsy as a courtesy during another skin cancer procedure. From that moment I knew I was in good hands. The melanoma at the corner of my eye required an extensive wide excision. Dr. Schmidt was strategic in developing a plan for the best functional and cosmetic outcome. He provided clear explanations and answered all my questions. Dr. Schmidt is an exceptional surgeon and a compassionate doctor. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my surgery and feel so fortunate to have been in his care. I would also like to thank the excellent nursing staff (esp. Linda, Becca and Jesse) who were such a calming presence as I approached surgery. The entire office staff was excellent (esp. "I cannot begin to say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Hedrick and PSID! When I was searching for my surgeon, I had two consults in one day. One with Dr. Hedrick, whom many had recommended to me, and one elsewhere. With Dr. Hedrick, I had to bring my young son, which is always an adventure. From the moment he came in, he was so kind, gracious, and patient. He had a staff member come love on my son as he went over everything with me in great detail. I left feeling confident, and the second consult reinforced the class, poise, and genuine care that Dr. Hedrick displayed at my consult. It was a no brainer; he was my surgeon. From then, it has been the same top quality experience from start to finish. He takes the time to listen and explain, and always makes sure you feel at ease. He’s meticulous and his attention to detail is very clearly on display in the results he delivers. After my surgery, when I saw myself in the mirror the first time, I cried. "I have had the privilege to have Dr Jason hedrick be my plastic surgeon for the last 5 years. Having a 50-cent size piece taken out of my skull because of cancer he worked his magic to pull my head together and has pulled my head together a few times after that! He always tells me best case scenario and worst case scenario so I have some idea what to expect. I appreciate his professionalism and also his sense of humor! He knows when to be serious and knows when he can joke with me and I appreciate that but probably the most thing that I appreciate is the fact that when I arrive in the operating room and ask someone to pray for me or pray with me he is the first one which tells me this is not a job for him, it's a ministry!
